Volunteer With Us!
Save Texas Streams’ volunteer workdays offer community members across the Austin area meaningful, hands-on opportunities to restore and protect our local environment. Our volunteers contribute directly to the health of local waterways, greenbelts, and wildlife habitats by helping pick up litter, removing invasive plants, and supporting the regeneration of native flora. These efforts not only improve water quality and strengthen ecosystem resilience, but also foster a shared sense of stewardship and connection to the land. By engaging people of all backgrounds in this vital work, Save Texas Streams empowers the community to take part in preserving the natural spaces that define Central Texas.
We also welcome volunteers to get involved in our outreach and fundraising efforts—from representing our organization at community fairs to serving as a peer-to-peer fundraiser during our annual Amplify Austin Day campaign. If you're looking to share your passion for protecting water while also connecting with new people, we encourage you to get involved! Our volunteer initiatives offer rewarding ways to make a lasting impact.

Sunday, February 1, 2026 | 10 - 11 am CT
4021 S Capital of Texas Highway Unit B, Austin, TX
At Save Texas Streams, we strive to prevent micro-plastic contamination of Central Texas water whenever possible. One of the easiest and most effective ways to do this is by picking up plastic litter that accumulates around our urban waterways. Join us on February 1st as we pick up trash on the trails along Barton Creek.
Park behind Kara Sanchéz Beauty and Brodie Oaks Plaza at the Brodie Oaks Shopping Center. You'll be able to see the trail entrance from the parking lot. Trash grabbers and heavy-duty trash bags will be provided.
